I haven’t blogged in FOREVER and there are lots of things that contributed to this, not the least of which is that I haven’t had many noteworthy things worth writing about. However, that changed after this weekend. It was BUSY, but AWESOME! On Saturday, we had a big group of people that all walked together as a group, in memory of Ethan. You can see the shirts that we had printed in the pictures below. It was a very special day for our family and I was glad that we could honor our baby boy in that way. My goal was to raise $1,000 and I raised $1,050 so I was very proud of that. I plan to continue participating in this event every year. I look forward to the time when I can walk this event pushing a baby stroller. Thank you to my wonderful family and friends that donated and took time out of their schedule to participate in the event with me. A special kiss, hug and thanks goes to Jason and Ally. I’m so glad that they wanted to be a part of it and it wouldn’t have been as special without them.
So after walking 5 miles on Saturday I thought it was a good idea to run the Warrior Dash on Sunday. I took off bring and early Sunday morning to make the trek out to TMS and then DFW Adventure Park. The run was 3.5 miles with 12 obstacles. It was AWESOME and I am so glad I did it. I definitely will do it again next year and am already looking for other adventure races I can run before then.
So that's it for my first blog post in months, but it likely would take such a special event to bring me out of my blogging funk!!!
